CMC Sisters

The right Rev Michael Campbell OSA Bishop of Lancaster Diocese, U K has requested Cardinal Mar George Alanchery the service of religious nuns from Syro Malabar Major Archiepiscopal church. Cardinal Mar George AlancheryThe Major ArchBishop of Syro Malabar Church recommended this initiative to Rev Mother Sancta, the then Superiorgeneral and expressed his desire to have the service of the sisters among the Syro Malabar community in UK.send two sisters Sr Anoopa (Bina) and Sr Rogit (Irinjalakkuda) to make a new foundation and ministry in the Latin Diocese and Syro Malabar Community. The sisters landed in Preston, Lancaster UK on 4th Sept 2015.the convent was officially inaugurated on 3rd October 2015 along with the ministration of the syro-malabar church, St. Alphonsa church. Later in Feb 2017 Sr Mary Ann (Pala) joined the community. She was serving the Syro Malabar Eparchy of Great Britain established in Oct 2016. The community became four as Sr Sharon (Bhopal) came in July 2017.
