Syro Malabar Youth Movement - Preston is a gathering of young people sharing Christian faith who are working and studying in the premises of Preston.

SMYM was initially formed by few youngsters in the year 2022 that graciously expanded to form a youth community where we come closer to strengthen ourselves in true Faith in our living Lord Jesus Christ in union with our Church, St. Alphonsa of Immaculate Conception Cathedral, Preston.

Our initiatives primarily involve daily youth rosary prayer, Gospel reading, youth confessions, Christmas caroling and fundraising programmes that promote the growth of the youth gathering. Most importantly, we stand as frontliners for meeting the needs of the Church.

Our activities include weekly gathering and monthly formal meetings with our director and beloved parish priest Fr babu Puthenpurakkal, where we share our faith and unending happiness and love we receive when we come together in Jesus name.

We look forward to always stand firm in faith, share the joy to others and walk towards achieving the eternal glory offered to us in this Christian life.
